All star Mike Trout injured again
Mike Trout was removed from his first Triple-A rehab game on Tuesday after two innings with soreness in his surgically repaired left knee.
The Los Angeles Angels star outfielder was attempting to make his comeback from a meniscus tear, but he left the game early due to pain in his knee.
Trout had been rehabbing with Triple-A Salt Lake and was expected to be activated from the injured list soon. However, this latest setback could delay his return to the Angels lineup.
The Angels are already without several key players due to injuries, including Anthony Rendon and Noah Syndergaard. Trout's absence would be a major blow to the team's chances of making the playoffs.
Trout is one of the best players in baseball and is a three-time American League MVP. He is also a nine-time All-Star and has won eight Silver Sluggers. Trout is considered one of the best all-around players in baseball today.
